How Check-ly is designed and operated — transparent principles and user protections.

Last updated: May 26, 2026

Check-ly is a workforce attendance coordination platform for organizations operating across multiple worksites. Verification signals are captured only at the moment a user explicitly taps the check-in or check-out button, and only with prior OS-level consent. The platform is designed around purpose limitation, data minimization, and privacy-aware defaults.

What Check-ly is — and what it is not

  • ·Designed for: Attendance coordination across distributed teams — office, field, remote, and hybrid worksites.
  • ·Used for: Confirming a user is at a registered workplace at the moment of check-in or check-out.
  • ·Event-based: Verification signals are captured only when the user explicitly taps check-in or check-out. No background or continuous capture.
  • ·Privacy-aware: Administrators do not have the ability to view real-time user location.
  • ·Purpose-limited: Data is not used for advertising, behavioural profiling, or sale to third parties.
  • ·It is not a workforce monitoring or location-tracking product.

How verification works

  • Verification signals are captured only at the moment of an explicit check-in or check-out action (event-based).
  • Operates only with the user's explicit OS-level permission, which can be revoked at any time in device settings.
  • Used solely to confirm the user is within a registered workplace radius at the time of the attendance event.
  • Captured signals are stored alongside the corresponding attendance record and are not used for separate behavioural analysis.
  • Data minimization — we capture only what is necessary for the attendance event.
